Effective immediately: Wilders Security Forums will no longer be providing one-on-one HijackThis log analysis and system cleaning services.

The adware, spyware & hijack cleaning sub-forum is closed as for starting any new log review threads, though the few that are in-progress currently may continued to be worked on and responded to for the next several days.

Any unsolicited HijackThis logs* posted anywhere else on the forum will be closed with a link pointing to this policy and removed sometime after that.

Please note that from time to time a HijackThis log may still be requested by a moderator (or specially titled forum expert) for use in other types of problem diagnosis. Only those logs requested by a Wilders team member will be worked on in forum.

For anyone experiencing general browser hijacking, or having any type of suspected spyware infection, we recommend going to another security forum that provides that function.

We don't maintain a comprehensive site list ourselves, but three sites we've often recommended in many replies here are: CastleCops, SpywareInfo, Geeks to Go, Gladiator Security and TomCoyote, though certainly there are many other qualified sites we could recommend!

    * The restriction on posting unsolicited HijackThis logs also applies to unsolicited ASviewer (Autostart Viewer), Spybot S&D, Ad-aware and similar product logs.
