When using virtual machines it is, from a security point of view, a good idea to lock down interaction between VM-hosts and VM-guests. I especially have copy/paste in mind. However, using complex auto-generated passwords are a pain to type in manually.

A solution to this problem would be using an application to simulate keystrokes from the VM-hosts copy/paste-buffer. I know KeePass 2.x enables this on passwords but there are also occasions when this needs to be done in non-password contexts.

Before I go for an AutoIt-based solution I was wondering if there is any such handy application available, before I go and reinvent the wheel.

    GPL/BSD-licensed is a plus.

    Thanks!
