I've heard of this product but never used it. Seems like you are a man on fire there Tassie. :D

But you all have been mentioning protection for IE (cos god knows, it needs it). :p

Does it offer any protection for FF, Opera, Netscape etc. You know like any good alternative browsers?

    Thanks,

    Jag

    lol Jag re IE.. :D :D :D

Actually, nothing I have tried from any program stops me from changing my homepage in Firefox, etc... cannot vouch for others.

I mainly wanted to test it just for curiosity's sake, but with the couple of extras added in I thought it would supplement SG/AdWatch/OnlineArmor and so far no conflicts, everything running smoothly with it.

It certainly is fast to respond when I do test it though, and at this stage, looks like being another good security app for those who cannot relinquish IE. but also in general re Registry, Hosts, Executable File Associations as well.

PLUS it's free... ;) fast and tooooo easy to use. Nothing to configure, nothing to update, very much like SG as stated, with extras.

    Jaguar,
These two tracking cookies were installed during my surfings with Firefox.
But I don't test Avorax, I'm not qualified for this.

I get the follwing screen when I use Arovax Shield. The screen says "Detected Tracking cookies"
I want to know if Arovax shield prevented my system to be infected by these cookies or it has just detected them.

I like the layer of protection Arovax will add to IE, but I find the ram usage a bit high for what it does...12.6MB

With reference to my previous post, does arovax provide "prevention" or "detection"?

About tracking cookies, it says this in the Help File, "Block tracking cookies. Approving of deleting is not needed, even with «Automatically block changes» setting activated. Tracking cookies are blocked automatically."

I ditched Avorax Shield after 3 days. It works great and it blocks indeed tracking cookies (= enemy #1 :D) and probably alot more, but I don't really need it. My computer is already slow enough.

I tried to find out a little more information about this company (very limited findings), seeing as it has been around for 4 or 6 years, depending on what company profile you pick...both are from their web site.
