Has anybody sucessfully used TrueImageCmdDos.exe from TI Workstation/Enterprise?

    Usage: d:/sls/trueimagecmddos.exe /create|/deploy|/list [/harddisk:disk1,disk2]
    [/partition:disk1-part1,disk2-part2] [/incremental]
    [/target_harddisk:disk1] [/target_partition:disk1-part1]
    [/compression:level] [/filename:filename] [/raw]
    [/password:password] [/progress:eek:n|off]
    [/start:start] [/size:size] [/type:type]

When I try to restore, I use the command:
    trueimagecmddos.exe /deploy /filename:xyz.tib /partition:1-1

And I always get the error:
Failed to find partition 1-1 in image archive

    Help!

    Hello Mike,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

First of all, please note that the current versions of the TrueImageCmd.exe and TrueImageCmdDos.exe utilities do not allows restoration of a system disk\partition, i.e. restoration that requires a reboot. So, if you plan to restore a system disk\partition you should use graphical interface (either within Windows or using Bootable Rescue Media).

If that's not the case and you are trying to perform restoration that does not require a reboot then please try specifying the destination partition (use /target_partition parameter).

If that does not help either then please provide us with the following information:

    - What exact Acronis True Image version and build number do you use?

You can find the full version name and build number either by going to Help -> About... menu in the main program window or by right-clicking on the product installation file in Windows Explorer, going to it's Properties and looking through Version tab.

    - Are you able to perform the same operation using the graphical interface (either within Windows or using Bootable Rescue Media or Acronis Startup Recovery Manager)?

    - Where do you store the backup that you try to restore?

    - What are the contents of this backup?

    - Describe actions taken before the problem appears step-by-step.

    Thank you.
