I saw on the giveawayoftheday site that AnVir Task Manager is today's free product. Has anyone used this before? Looks like lots of bells and whistles- kinda a souped up Process Explorer. Will this product not offering free upgrades over the next year be a big deal- especially with Vista? Does it run very heavy? And does it really offer much more than Process Explorer?

GAOTD had it for free about a month or so ago. So I decided to try it and I have used it since. Their support is prompt also...I had a question about a discount offer.
They also added a network monitor that I suggested to them.
I does not conflict with any of my other security programs and it does not slow my system down. Also very little impact on my boot up time.

I´ve been using it since the last time it was GAOTD this spring and I am quite happy with it. It has so much information (I am happy that I have a widescrren :) ) it takes a while to get used to, for me at least. It doesnt make much fuzz and all the information I need is a click on the tray away.
Their forum is pretty quiet. I dont know if it is because everybody is happy with the software or what, but every other month or so there is updates to the software.

I like it too. I'm gonna buy Pro version soon because 50% discount is quite nice.

I bought hte Anvir Security Suite because of a 50% discount I got from DonationCoder. I like it very much. It has completely replaced WinPatrol Plus (and the Task Mager) on my system. I especially like the fact that it lists statup services and disk load, neither of which WP does.

Why you choose Security Suite? I can't believe that Antivirus scanner and Anti-rootkit tool are worth of 20$.

Because at the time, with the code, I had it was only $5 more than Task Manager Pro. Anvir seems to have shifted the prices of their products from whrn I bought SS; Task Manager Pro used to be $24.95 and the SS used to be $40 (without the coupon). That said, I thought the risk was minimal.

    Looks good.
But I haven't been able to register it.
I copy and paste the key and it comes up no good.
I've sent them an email about it.
    I hope they can help.

Its the basic one which retails for $19.95, there is an option to upgrade to pro at a discount.
