Amon will not restart

Hello, Amon (2.12.2) will not restart after stopping "unable to load resident protection". I have to reboot in order for it to start. Is this normal? Thanks for your time.

Under Amon --> Setup --> Security tab --> do you have the "Allow manual stopping" checked? If yes, then if you choose to click on the "Stop" button for AMON, rather than removing the check in the box beside "Resident modual (AMON) enabled, then yes, with some computers you will have to reboot your computer in order to re-start (or rather re-load) AMON. (see pic below)

It is recommended that if you only want to stop AMON briefly, then just remove the check beside "Resident modual (AMON) enabled" rather than using the "Stop" button. That way you are only stopping the on-access antivirus protection, and not unloading it from memory.
