I'm a winner!!!! very rare occasion for me.... but thanks to the good folks here I won a 12 month sub to NOD32 which i have been reading up on and seems a great alternative to my present AV which has grown to a size beyond compare and seems slow at doing the simplest of tasks.

I read we should not mention other products here which I think is a shame as it's hard for users to get feed back from other users as to real life product experiences suffice to say my present AV is fro "S" and ends in 2005!

Thanks again for letting me win something in this life

I think you may have misunderstood a little on this point. The common "correction" made around Wilders forums is that the sections titled "Nod32" are not for product comparisons etc but for NOD32 support. "Other Antiviruses" is where the comparison takes place. The same goes for imaging products in regard to the "Acronis" support forums - comparisons and alternative software belong in "Software and services."

HTH and I really hope you have a great time with your shiny new NOD ;-)

Wow! I've won a license for NOD32! Been wanting to try this little honey for a while now. Just need to figure out which of my computers gets the benefit of it and find some uninterrupted quality time to configure and play with it properly. :D

Thank you ESET, thank you Paul, and thank you Wilders folks for the most informative and intelligent security forum on the entire internet!

well, I also won a NOD32 free license for one year, so may some of such good lack rubb on the organizers and on Paul in particular.

now, I only mailed my 'claim' today, following the simple instructions on Paul's message, including, name and e-mail address, and got back instantly the key to download the program, which I'll manage to do presently.

so, thanks very much to the forum for such extras, and winning or loosing, at times, because both times will come to all of us, although are different in finality, both have a common nature, namely that both make us to belong to the whole.

    cheers

    Well People,

Everyone always used to say, "ed, you're a real winner" (Iwonder what they meant). As soon as I downloaded and installed NOD32 the heavy black cloud that has been hovering over my desk broke up and dissappeared. Now that the ceiling is in view again it begs a coat of paint.

My contributions to this Forum are scant or nonexistant but I gladly accept the freebie.

Thanks Paul for the assist and info.

    Play on, big ed

If I won, I will never know or get the email since I have had to temporarily suspend my personal email addy. I only have a web addy at this time and currently not online much - but I will be end of July. Oh well, dems the breaks!! :'( Congratulations to all who have won.

I was one of the fortunate winners of a year's subscription for NOD32.

Anyway, I'm just dropping in to let other NOD32 winners know that if they already have an existing subscription that doesn't expire until some time in the future (like me), your advice to wait until two weeks before it runs out and then register/apply for the extra year has been confirmed by the Australian Eset rep. Thank you Paul :D . Thank you Eset :D .

    Oops forgot to log in.

Well it looks that I was invited to get a licence or something but that's ironic because the only reason I registered here was to get a help and eventually a refund for NOD32.

By the looks of this forum, everybody is a winner..., looks more like a promotional campaign to me... LOL
Was there anyone who did NOT win?
