Out of curiosity, what benefit is there to selecting the "enabled" option for protocol filtering activation in P4 WinXP? For Win98SE, do I select the "enabled" or "enabled after computer connection only"? Secondly, is it recommended to select "watch dns calls" in a P4 WinXP? Do the two previously mentioned options result in better overall security? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would also like to add that the two pc's(P4 WinXP & AMD Athlon Win98SE) in question are behind a Netgear RP614v2 router. The pc with P4 WinXP has the following Windows services "disabled": DHCP Client and DNS Client.
