@anon I apologize, I had misunderstood. I should refrain from posting/replying prior to my morning coffee.
6.1.256.1292 RC released! Link: https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardForWindows/releases/tag/v6.1.256.1292-rc
Heh, I remember I was against this change back then, but beta testers convinced me somehow In fact we will introduce more "per-extensions" settings in future including an autoupdate checkbox.
There will be one more urgent hotfix today. Recent changes to Google's QUIC protocol have lead to possible issues with filtering Youtube. We'd better fix this before Chrome 54 is released.
Sorry but your excuse sounds unacceptable and unprofessional, imo. A software updates the enabled modules and whatever is disabled stays disabled/inactive/not updated. Simple as that._ btw, few minutes ago, I found a similar case in your forum=
It is not an excuse, I just don't want to defend the current approach which obviously has a flaw. We will be able to change the default behaviour after introducing per-extension settings. The module is "Extensions" and if you disable it updates won't be checked.
So you are saying : "Enable all or nothing" In that case I will not have the Adguard Assistant which I want to use. The "Extensions" module contains the following pre-installed extensions: 1. "Adguard Assistant" 2. "Adguard Popup Blocker" 3. "Web of Trust"
Adguard for Windows v6.1.258 Aug 31, 2016 https://blog.adguard.com/en/adguard-for-windows-v6-1/ Release Notes: https://adguard.com/en/adguard-windows/release-notes.html#6.1.258 https://forum.adguard.com/index.php?threads/adguard-for-windows-v6-1-258.13310/
At the current moment - yes, there's simply no other option. In future we will change this. Update check is pretty simple operation, AG just downloads this file and checks if version has changed or not: https://cdn.adguard.com/public/Userscripts/Wot/1.0/wot.meta.js
@avatar Can one now use Adguard along with AVs that have SSL Certificate enabled, like Bitdefender's or Kaspersky's?
Bitdefender should be ok, while Kaspersky still has the issue, it is only with TDI driver, we have not yet implemented the new WFP driver.
Are Bitdefender and Adguard already working together even before the latest update? Or did the compatibility come from the latest update? I just recently uninstalled Adguard because I'm trying out Bitdefender, which it changed all browser certificates to itself's, rather than Adguard's. I may install back Adguard if there really is no problem with them. Thanks, avatar!
I have 8.1302 now. After a few days with 1302 it looks like it is causing a problem playing UTube video on Facebook. After i disable protection i can then play facebook utube video again.
Back to school promotion: discounts on all licenses! 31 August 2016 https://blog.adguard.com/en/back-to-school-promotion-discounts-on-all-licenses/ https://adguard.com/en/license.html
Not entirely, we have not yet finished the new driver which is supposed to fix all compatibility issues of this kind.
I need to know the following: 1. Browser? 2. Which filters do you have enabled? 3. Link to the broken facebook video.
The facebook video's all work right now. Sometimes they work in facebook and sometimes they don't until i disable AGFW.
