Yes, that's it. If this version is ok we'll release it next week. So it looks like a program bug? What browser have you used?
Would be good to get a confirmation on this when you get a chance... I am hesitant in going to IE 10 again due to some of the dodgy update requirements is forces and the two-fold cache... (I am coming off a fresh install). The app itself still filters IE properly (confirmed via Protection/Log tab), it's just the AG Assistant that doesn't pop up...
@avatar Would it be possible to block the advertisement overlay which shows up after certain time on this website? http://www.rockradio.com/play/classichardrock This overlay overlaps the player and you have to close it to get on the player. This happens for all radio stations on the domain. Btw, it is the best online rock radio, imo.
I am using uBlock. Can you post screenshot of what you meant? I browsed the link you have mentioned. Launched the player, a window appeared & music started playing. Nothing appeared after that.
@pegas, strange thing, but I don't see any ads there with or without AG. What should I do to see that popup? I've been listening to that station for 10 minutes
@avatar, This rule doesn't seem to be working anymore: Code: dslreports.com##td[style="border-right: 1px #CCCCCC solid;"] On this page: http://www.dslreports.com/forums/all It is showing the blank box along left side of page again. I assume they have changed something on their site. Thank you for your time.
Should I be logged in? @WildByDesign Use this rule instead: Code: dslreports.com##table[width="98%"] td[nowrap][style="border-right: 0px #CCCCCC solid;"] I've checked this in Chrome and Firefox, not sure about IE.
@pegas, hurray, I've found it. For some reason this block is visible in Opera only, in Chrome&Firefox it is blocked properly. That's strange, looks like CSS selectors priority is a bit different in Opera.
Glad you caught it. BTW, how does it matter CSS selectors priority in Opera? Any security risks posed or ...?
No, it's just strange, should be the same because Opera is based on Chromium. AG checks filters updates once in 12 hours. Yes. The database is too large to download it on every client computer.
Sorry to hijack but I think that the question was how often the filters are updated and not how often AG checks updates. As far as I can say, filters, especially the main AG own filetrs, are updated several times per day.
avatar & pegas, I tried Adblock Plus, uBlock & AdGuard Browser Extension. ABP - Filters & Malicious/Phishing are updated once in 3-4 days, right? uBlock - Filters & Malicious/Phishing are updated once in 3-4 days, right? AdGuard - Filters are updated several times per day as per pegas & checked for updates once in 12 hours as per avatar. Malicious/Phishing is Cloud based. So it seems AG is better compared to ABP & uB especially Malicious/Phishing protection as M/P is Cloud based & so always up-to-date. Malicious/Phishing in ABP & uB is kind of weak protection as its updated once in 3-4 days. Update frequency is the same for AdGuard & AG Browser Extension?
I cannot speak for ABP and uBlock as I don't use them. As for the AG, you can always check resp. download filter updates manually when you remember.
