I have Adguard for Windows for 10 minutes now and it is working with chrome, dragon, maxthon, ie32 and ie64 without any problems so far.
If i Disable Ad Blocker Setting when using ie9 32 or 64 on Facebook then the Text is in the correct place. Having Browser Security Enabled does not bother ie32 or 64. As soon as i Enable Ad Blocker Setting and then close IE and then start it again the text is in the wrong place on facebook site when using Adguard For Windows.
@avatar can you add an option to include 'Fanboys Enhanced Tracking List' to Adguard ? --https://www.fanboy.co.nz/filters.html
@Dragon1952 Which filters do you use in Adguard? Also don't forget about screenshot. Just hide or blur everything related to you on this screenshot. @KaptainBug Thanks for the tip, we'll add it.
The User Filter does not always work that i have in Adguard For Windows. I have the same stuff in my Custom Filter in AdBlock that always work so i have to keep using AdBlock along with Adguard For Windows in order to block that stuff in Facebook that i don't want like the Trending Now Stuff on the right side of the screen.
I really like this Adguard For Windows. It does a lot of really good things except for the problem i have with it in Facebook with IE9. The AFW User Filter seems to work now since i turned off the MBAE Shield for Chrome.
Rules created by using either the adguard extension or Adguard assistant. Its very random. Sometimes they work and sometimes not.
These rules are very sensitive to the site layout. Small change in layout and the rule stops working. If we are talking about facebook they often change page layout and it can be the problem. I can create better rule if you tell me what you want to block.
Adguard for windows is looking real good. Right click the sys tray icon and check for filter updates.
Literally nothing I use will let Adguard's websites/domains through. Either Norton Connect Safe, UTM scanners.. What's going on?
I've just tried Norton Connect Safe and our domains aren't blocked. How can I check these scanners on my side?
One vital feature that's missing from AdGuard is how AdBlock Plus has an optional Facebook Annoyances Blocker Filter that removes the pages you may like which repreent a lot of businesses and in turn gives ads. I have always went back to ABP because AdGuard doesn't have this feature so I still see these annoying facebook pages/ads
Wow! That's great! I'd switch right away since my web browsing seems snappier with AdGuard thatn with ABP due to ABP's huge filter database that is obsolete. Thanks for listening to you customers' suggestions
Which Connect Safe? They have 3 DNS clusters with varying protections. So it's either; 1) SNORT w/Adblock 2) ClamAV or Bit Defender (UTM on Untangle) 3) ASUS w/Trend One of those is blocking. I will try to pin it down when I get home. If it is Trend then it is bad because Trend UTM/Router doesn't allow exclusion/pass filters. Untangle I can allow it through. So I will let you know so you can proceed accordingly.
ABP is very slow, and as you point out their database bloated. I ran some benchmarks, and found Adguard (via Extension) to be second fastest. Admuncher was first, but Admuncher is practically non-functional on many pages, and breaks many others so I won't run it.
Looks like the culprit is Untangle.. I added Adguard to exclusions, and it's working, but as you can see from the logs, it was straight up blocking your IP address.
