I see that Adaptive Restore can take a real machine or Paragon backup image and create a VMWare .vmdk file, but can it take a .vmdk and convert it to a Paragon backup image?

I guess the other option is to run AR within the VM but I thought a direct convert if possible would be quicker and more efficient.

The fastest way to do that is boot the virtual machine to a Paragon Recovery Disk and run a backup of the system.
