Activity Logger 2.0 Pulling my hair out !!

Can anyone tell me please how to completely get rid of activity logger 2.0. I dont know how it got onto my pc but I can remove it and it comes right back every time I use the pc. I have xp home. it is being found by various anti spyware. AOL and adaware both find it, remove it and it comes back. I have gone into the registry as its usually found under serach assistant ACMru in little folders. I have had to dlete softactivity, activity logger, logger,activity, alsys, search assistant, alsys.exe, msconfig, whenu, vvsn, mozilla, address.com, win mx
I dont use win mx any more havent for months. Nor do I use outlook express...thats uninstalled! Msconfig will no longer run form the RUN command prompt but it is still in my WINDOWS system files.
I have tried using www.scanspyware.net help on this and other google help but nothing I do is ridding it for good.
Please anyone? Can you help?

I have . One is spy hunter and you have to buy to use and I cant put my card details online and the manual removal didnt work!!

Any more for any more?? Please? I am at my wits end. CWshredder is even finding msconfig in its result? What on earth does that mean?
Somebody somewhere must have this program and know how to unintsall it completely??
I dont even know if its someone else or me that has put it on my own pc!
Did it come with something I downloaded??
please....what is SAM in H-Key Local-Machine
Why wont the software company of this stupid program just give me instructions for its uninstall or by its nature of coming back over and over does that mean it is soemone elae who is watching my pc??
