Acronis TI 8 Build 771 bootCD hangs

have a pair of 72GB RAPTORS in a Raid 0 setup. I can create an image of my C Drive without errors now with the latest build, but when I create the boot CD and attempt to boot, I get the main Acronis screen/menu, but when I select Check Image, I can select the file containg the disk image but then the system hangs with

processing...........

Any ideas on how I can get around this, because I (think I) need to be able to use the bootCD to restore the C: drive in the case of a problem or disaster.

Have you tried burning and using a BootCD in 'safe' mode?

 

Yep, same result. If I loose drive C: can I reload windows and Ti8 to a fresh drive C: then restore my image over the top of myself?

maybe that's a way around this bug.

You cannot restore to your active partition from within windows. That's kind of like replacing your car's engine as you're driving down the highway.
