? about trogan and returned email

    hi everyone
    i emailed my friend awhile ago and it was returned to me with this message:550 5.7.1 virus alert trogan start page.gen-17 does anyone know what this means?im desperate to know.

    Take one newbie and multiply that by two computers and what do you get? A whole lotta trouble. :D

    Did you ever get this e-mail problem resolved?

    yes this is the only time- and i havent again and ive run every scan i can think of and they have found nothing so im assuming it was nothing--ive ran tds scan-adaware-spybot s&d and i have wormguard and have also ran other online scans so i really dont know but it must have been a mistake of somekind

    thanks for the link--appreciate it.i believe this must be an issue with the mailscanner.i have norton antivirus and its updated every day and i fixed it to scan all files like it said in the link and it found nothing so i believe it was nothing afterall.something with the mailscanner as you said or just a mistake

    still to be on the safe side you can test your system by web scanners.
