    Hi pieter, :)

I was in my friend's house when she was experiencing too much problems in IE, Machine slowdown and some virus problems too.
As soon as I opened IE, it took me to webcounter, fastsearch etc, making me sure of CWS, and then I could not run Hijack as Floppy drive was inaccessible.
anyway got from Net and then ran CWShredder which did make all ok in IE.
Next in Hijack I found 01 entriese which I removed(those were some xxx sites)
Now the computer is umm.. ya faster ofcourse. Oracle is there so it seems to have slowed a bit already.
But, the CD drive cant be accessed properly, I have some security softwares which cant be accessed from CD.

anyways here is the LOG, for the check up from the Master :)

    Hi subratam,

    You can fix these:
    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/ie/defaults/sb/ymsgr/*http://www.yahoo.com/ext/search/search.html
    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/ie/defaults/stp/ymsgr*http://my.yahoo.com

I'm not sure what this is:
    O4 - Global Startup: 24Online Client.lnk = C:\Program Files\eLitecore\Cyberoam Client for 24Online\CyberoamClient.exe

Does the CD-ROM drive show up under Hardware > Device Manager correctly?

Wait for after the updates to perform some more investigating. It might well solve the problem.

    Regards,

    Pieter

I have removed as you said those two,
Cyberoamclient is the software which help her to access cable internet and its ok :)

CD rom is having no problem over there, maybe it has to do with some other hardware probz or maybe machine is not catching up speed.

ok I myself is starting the windows update in her machine.

heres the latest log for you.
check once and she said she will inform me after the updates
