I have another question. In the past it used to include I'm not sure if it was bitdefender or avira databases. It seems now it has only it's own engine ? Am I correct ?

Yes they ditched them some time ago and added their own local scan engine called KunPeng.

It doesn't provide good protection, but is very stable. Despite the regular bug fixes, which would suggest that it a buggy product, I've had basically zero issues in the last few five years that I've had it installed.

I just find funny that they never specify what they fix. as if it has to be a secret. Or maybe they just jumped versions to make us believe they changed something :p

    Kinguin.
You're better off just using a better antivirus. There are better alternatives, even for free, which will provide better protection.

Just installed, 104 pages to read are too for me ;), so, please: it's possible to disable the cloud engine ? I'm a bit wary about cloud av in general, more if by China. You'll say to me that all part of Total Security can call to home, sure, but I keep my question.

You can't do that. Even if you could do so, it would be a bad idea to do so, as it would severely reduce its detection rate. If you don't trust the software, I suggest you uninstall it.

Thank you. I decided to give it a chance. Effectively, in my multy layered defense the av it's the less important element, as I think it should be., so I can get a try with Total Security 360.
