2.7 capabilities

    I have been very happy with the minimalist 2.7 for a long time now and was happy to be told that version 3.0 was no different to 2.7 for actually scanning and handling virus detection.
    Does that remain true for 4.0?
    I am hoping so as I don't need to enter the world of bloating applications with fancy GUI's that do nothing for functionality.

    It's not true, v4 is better.

    Thank you so much for the information.
    Do you happen to know how it is better?
    Reading other threads and going from experience, I need to wait until some of the early bugs are ironed out before installing 4.0.

    The V4 engine has additional technologies inside it for detecting and removing malware which are not present in v2.7.
