Yes, I just wish I could get it to run on my Windows 7x64 desktop. It works fine on my laptop though.

Yes, I know it shouldn't be problem, but there's some incompatibility with my system - perhaps some other software on it or maybe something missing, I don't know. I worked on it with Zoner support for v14 and we couldn't figure it out. I was hoping v15 might work, but the issue is the same.

In case someone has any ideas this is error message I received when trying to run ZPS 15.

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000022)

It installs without error, but then won't run.

It sounds like something is missing or corrupt in your OS, try

sfc scannow to check for and repair corrupted files
    http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

    Or repair install
    http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html

Or are you using a HIPS/Firewall that is set to create rules for its self? i always have some software that wont run unless I explicitly allow it to run through my HIPS/Firewall...

    hope this may help........

you can also seek help at sevenforums.com, if you still cant find an answer to the issue here at wilders!

Thanks for the suggestion. It took a little sorting, but I was eventually able to successfully run System File Checker which fixed some files. After that ZPS worked fine!

So, now that I have Zoner Photo Studio 15 working on Windows 7x64 my question is why are there 32 bit and 64 bit EXEs, and why choose one over the other?

One example could be that your scanner will only work with the 32 bit version.

Thanks for the tip - I'll have to test that. On the flip side why use the 64 bit EXE? Is there a noticeable difference in performance or some other advantage?

You're welcome. I discovered it when I tried to scan something into PDF-XChange Viewer. Thankfully, there was some information on their website so I didn't waste too much time trying to figure it out.
