zonelabs/ checkpoint

    I'am for years a user of ZoneAlarm pro.

    Most of the versions works fine.

    Now version 10 it is verry buggy, read the forum at zonelabs.com.
    But reporting a bug is not verry appricated by the form of zonelabs.
    Most off the post are cut off , closed or moved.

    Why a forumo_O a forum is for sharing problems etc, i is my thought.


    I have a valid subscribtion (309 day's), but the way zonelabs/checkpoint treat the post at their forum gives me reasson to leaf zonealarmpro.
    Pctools firewall is recomended to me, but are there more options?

    So my question what is a good to use firewall, only a firewall, antivirus software of anti malware software i have already.

    IMO, never update manually, always wait for the ZA automatic update to inform you of an upgrade. This is the best strategy to avoid any issue with it. Automatic updates are turned ON only when no major issues have been encountered.

    There is nothing wrong in keeping ZAPRO 9.3.037.000 for sometime waiting for the upgrade notice. It is still a very solid product + well tested.
