I HAVE ZONE ALARM PRO 4.5.538.000 . SHOULD I GIVE SERVER RIGHTS TO INTERNET EXPLORER AND MY INTERNET CONNECTION
Hi monica_84 As a general rule most client applications you use will not require server rights (allowing inbound connections). Internet Explorer does not require server rights. Could you clarify what you mean by this? Regards, CrazyM
Ya did it to me pal!! I had to check my firewall to check my settings - no server rights to anyone except IE ..... I guess I should question mark that one too. Oh well, isn't computer life interesting.
Peaches, IE does *NOT* require server rights ... IE is a "client" application and does not act like a server, and needs no server rights. Basically, as CrazyM indicated, server rights means you're giving permission to accept inbound connections that have not been requested or initiated by you .. *that* can be dangerous!
thats rite Randy... IE dun necessary need server rights,, and as i said... its better off NOT givin server rights to any of progs.... i hope one can find much help here http://www.markusjansson.net/eza.html
