I've sent a number of different zipped files to different people on several occasions, but they couldn't unzip them. These were both windows PC's & also Mac's. I used 7Zip in "Normal Zip" mode with a password each time, but even after making sure everybody used the correct PW & tried numerous times, they still failed ! I had no problems unzipping All of them on my PC. I'm wondering if it's because my chosen encryption was different from theirs ? Do these options look right for others to unzip properly ?
I don't know what programs they are using to extract the password-protected .zip-files, but to create "more compatible archives" try to choose the "ZipCrypto" Encryption Method.
@ mood For the PC's they used WinZip or the windows inbuilt Unzipper. I'll try the "ZipCrypto" Encryption Method. Thanx @ itman There was no public key etc involved, just the Zip PW
