    Hello there,
    I am using Zone Alarm Pro 3.1.300, (the German version),win 2k,IE 6. 0.
At the moment I cannot access SSL secured pages if this programme is running. (ie the following page www.culturall.com., IP address 195.34.137.2)
Which settings should I specify in order to receive this type of page without shutting down Zone Alarm first?

    Any suggestions?

    greetings

    SaSa

    Hello SaSa,

Does the alert window give you any specific error or block message that would help explain what isn't working?

One idea is that it may have to do with just the Privacy Controls in ZAP. Instead of disabling ZAP fully, try to disable the Privacy Controls and see if that makes a difference. That would isolate the problem more specifically.

    Best Wishes,

    SaSa,

As of October 1998, SSL has the following port numbers reserved with the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA), a part of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF):

    Keyword Decimal Description
    ------- ------- -----------
nsiiops 261/tcp IIOP Name Service over TLS/SSL
https 443/tcp http protocol over TLS/SSL
    ddm-ssl 448/tcp DDM-SSL
smtps 465/tcp smtp protocol over TLS/SSL
nntps 563/tcp nntp protocol over TLS/SSL
    sshell 614/tcp SSLshell
ldaps 636/tcp ldap protocol over TLS/SSL
    ftps-data 989/tcp ftp protocol, data, over TLS/SSL
ftps 990/tcp ftp, control, over TLS/SSL
telnets 992/tcp telnet protocol over TLS/SSL
    imaps 993/tcp imap4 protocol over TLS/SSL
ircs 994/tcp irc protocol over TLS/SSL
    pop3s 995/tcp pop3 protocol over TLS/SSL

The bolded one seems the one essential in your case.

    regards.

    SaSa,

For the benefit of others who may have the same problem, can you post here what you did to fix the problem? Someone else may search the forum in the future and find your answer very helpful.

    Thanks,
    LowWaterMark
