YouTube to block music videos for UK users

    doesn't surprise me. i don't like google or the music industry. youtube already blocks lots of music and tv for uk IPs. channel4 gets them to block their programmes then promotes stuff on youtube too :rolleyes:

    i wonder which music they're talking about blocking? i saw them mention u2 on their site and i can still hear u2 music on youtube.

    does this even make sense?
    EDIT. i read a bit more and it looks like it's all the fault of PRS for Music, they saw the profits of google and wanted a new deal! youtube "told BBC News the PRS was seeking a rise in fees "many, many factors" higher than the previous agreement." pandora had the same problem with them so couldn't work outside the US anymore.

    i'm glad youtube, pandora and Imeem decided not to stream to the UK rather than pay a stupidly high tax! now we can see how greedy they are.
