Your view on MS Security Essentials

    I had the latest AVAST running on my Dads laptop and found it to slow down the laptop, to be honest I did prefer the older Avast and probably was less of a memory hog.

    Now my Father wants me to put on MS Security Essentials but in some ways I am not even keen on it.

    Any other reccomendations for a good light free AV

    depends if he's a low or high risk surfer - I have cleared up a ton of machines after MSE let in stuff, but how the user uses the machine and where they visit has a major impact on the number of ways an AV is tested... ;)
