    Geswall,
simple and safe. Everything CIS, Avira and Threatfire misses is stopped with Geswall.

I have a very strange feeling that the future versions of GW would only be x64 compatible cause I have sent three mails to Gentle security enquiring about 'whenabouts' of GW version 3.0 very specifically, but every time in their replies, they only refered to 64 bit version of GW in their replies and seemed to elude from version 3.0.

My favorite anti-malware ap has to be Sun's VirtualBox. My second favorite is Paragon's free Backup and Recovery imaging software. Third would be the Avast Internet Security suite.

I would say I prefer Ubuntu as my favorite anti-malware ap, but that is an OS and so much more than a security measure for me.

My brain (common-sense, reasoning mental faculties).

Never been infected, and I been using the internet since 1994.

    That's just funny.
It reminds me of a neighbour of mine that had 6 AVs running realtime on his machine. He too said he was never infected and that he couldn't be because of all those AVs.

Then a friend of mine (cough, cough) infected his pc remotely with a trojan he made and all went to hell. :argh: Now he uses linux...

    ok...

PE Guard is just my favourite. Love it. Comodo firewall is pretty cool as well and AVZ.

I have never had an AV. Don't need one.

Ask your friend to try to infect me with a trojan. I will give you both $10,000 if you succeed.

BTW, PE Guard is a barebones security application that delivers only the essential options required to keep malware out. But if you have common sense like me, you won't need it anyway.

Why waste money on something that is only needed if you are visiting illegal/dodgy websites and installing suspect programs from dodgy websites?

You seem to be way to confident about your security setup.
Let's just hope no one claims that prize. :)

I completely disagree with you, and i'm sorry to say that sounds very noobish to me.
What about Phishing? Drive by downloads? ARP poisoning?....etc... There's no common sense strong enough to deal with those. Also, there aren't DNS servers or hosts editors enough to block all malicious websites. So, if you want to browse the internet freely, you will eventually find yourself in one of those dangerous websites. What common sense will you use then?
Even websites you think are safe can be hacked and spread dangerous stuff. That occurs sometimes.
But, hell... Maybe it's just me.

And some deliberately look for such websites and grab what they can. ;)

    Banking/buying online never done here.

    Another fine example.
Unfortunately i cannot afford not doing online banking. I'm 6000 miles away from home... :doubt:
Which reminds me... can't wait for a good PEGuard keylogger defense. :)
