I want to wish my good friend Nat all the strength on her goal to better health. For she has made a pact with herself to stop smoking. It will be tough my friend and you must be brave, but if you want to live 'till you're 136 this is a great way to start ;) :D ;)

GOOD LUCK NATTY !! I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT !!

Good Luck Nat!! I use to smoke a pack and a half a day. Quit about 14 years ago. Trust me I am really pulling for ya. You probably did not want all the hype, but trust me, the more people pulling for you, the better. So I will be right there if you get frustrated and just need to say #$@%^#$%%#$%&(((&%#%#$%^%$#%@%*(&%@#@^& ........&^&$#@^&...!

As many have echoed over and over again, You can do this Nat :)

Do keep trying, and never lose your strength. Pray to God regularly, and I hope he will prevent you from smoking ever again.

    DO NOT LOSE YOUR COURAGE!

 Nat: I used to smoke 2 an 1/2 packs a day, an I did this for almost 40 years. I quit cold turkey about 9 years ago. The first day, I'd of smoked the exhaust off the tail pipe of an 18 wheeler, so I won't lie an say it's going to be easy. I will say however that the effort has been well worth it. I once again have a sense of smell. I once again have a sense of taste. You also won't believe how bad they smell, after you have quit for a while. I now have to walk away from the smell of others smoking, it smells just awful. I tell myself, "I can't believe that I put those things in my mouth". I think you know that there are quiet a few people pulling for you, an I most definably am one of them. It may help, "I sucked on Jolly Rancher Cinnamon fire candy every time I had the urge, after a while I didn't eat to many of them either, even though those I really really do like".

    Thanks
    Wildman

You All are of great help, and I soo appreciate the words, the very helpful links, and telling me about
    yourself !!

    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

I'm on my 4th day being smoke-FREE now.
And I know the "best" is yet to come"...

I don't quite feel like myself still ~ and part of me feels like it's missing.......but considering, I've smoked for about 25 yrs. non-stop, and chain-smoked...I'm doing and feeling quite good. :)

BUT ~ no matter what.... ----->

I Will Not Take Another Puff !!!

    ~***EVER***~

Good luck, and keep us informed (even if you fall back, OK?) ;)

My sister quit and she is a good person for it. With all the tax they added per box is much cheaper to quit you could save all that money and get a house or something . I'm glad you did it for your health.

    Much love

    @ Suga ~ Hmm...of course it's wonderful your sister quit !!
I wish my brother and everyone of my family would...

the person "bad" and the ones that never smoked or quit,
    "good". ;)

I hope you keep telling her though how glad you are she stopped the cancer-sticks... :)

You know BB....it sure isn't like eating sugar.:doubt:
It is very, very tough to quit. Especially sine I enjoyed it so much.
    I know it's crazy.
One of the most addictive things in the world.

And to tell you the truth...I never ever thought in my life before
I will stop my habit. Thought I wouldn't be able to anyways.

This is one of the biggest things I have ever done in my life. Tough, tough, tough.
I've done quitting other habits too. This one is the biggest challenge though !

Oh well...I'll get over it, LOL !

I still and will always miss smoking.....but soo many reasons
why I am determined to "never take another puff" !!!

    Thanks Cindy... :)
