why doesn't NOD 32 stop yontoo from getting on your computer? Isn't that what antivirus software is suppose to do? Doesn't even recognize it during a full scan.
Hello Mrzocor If I remember right, then is yontoo a Potentially Unwanted App. Just out of curiosity, didn't you have the detection for potentially unwanted application enabled? A lot of malware or other less usefull software, is being hidden in software wrapper these days. So personally I have, the detection of potentially unwanted applications, unsafe applications and potentially suspicious applications enabled , all the time. Gives me a better detection of all that, " grey zone" malware. Cheers, Janus )
That was checked! That was the default setting Now I can't get it off my computer. keeps trying to hijack my homepage in Google Chrome. NOD 32 stops it everytime, but can't remove it from add/remove software. TRy to and it always says "setup initialization error". Emailed Eset about it, and now he wants to call me up, and talk me through on how to get rid of it. I never heard of someone calling up to get rid of a nuisance!
Chrome-> Settings icon -> Tools -> Extensions If you find Yontoo, remove it AdwCleaner(free) is very useful too. AdwCleaner (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/) Just my 2cents
