    Email that claims it is from Yahoo states;

    "As you've used your email address in the last 90 days, we need to let you know about some changes we're making. We're closing some of our older email account and services. That means your email address will stop working after 21 May 2018, unless you validate your account. If you don't do that, you'll lose your email address as well as the contacts and messages associated with it.
    If you want to keep your email, it's quick, easy and free. Just validate your email now by following the steps at yahoo/linkemail
    Thanks,
    Yahoo!"

    The email is from Yahoo Mail <cgiusti@ebrschools.org>

    I am inclined to ignore it, but wonder if anyone here knows anything about such?

    Thans, Jerry

    Hi Jerry, that email address looks bad. I searched for ebrschools.org, it belongs to East Baton Rouge Parish School System, a High school from Louisiana.

    You could ask here:

    Jerry, this is a classic example of a Phishing email. The clue is the FROM email address, which is not Yahoo. The culprit link was hidden under the "yahoo/linkemail" text (we had to de-link it, as malware is not allowed as per our ISP). Follow Bo's advice and report it to Yahoo.

    As Bo says, if that email address is where the message is supposed to have come from, it is not Yahoo. Even if Yahoo were to send such a message, that wouldn't be the email address they'd use.

    That's too bad. I've been looking for a way to get rid of that thing, once and for all. ;)
