   Think a bit longer than today, within a few years most paid softwares will have activation, because piracy is a financial killer for these companies.
   The know-how of activations exists, so every company will use it to make sure they get their money.
   Money is one of the best motivations to do something. Everybody loves money.

   Sometimes easier said then done. The real key is the quality of the company. I've run into it with Scansoft/nuance when I was having problems and did uninstall reinstalls. But once all the issues were settled they reset the keys and all was fine. As long as companies respond that way, I can live with it.
