win xp pro sp3 on startup everything seams fine till the eset smart security logo appears then every thing stalls.I left it for a short while, nothing happened so rebooted the computer and it worked . this started after updating to ver 4
Hi Goatty2, Some time ago I ran into the same trouble, and I solved it by going under Advanced Settings to User Interface and unchecked: Show welcome screen at start up. After I did that the problem disappeared and ESS 4 started normally and the icon appears in the Quick Launch Bar.
thanks just unchecked that and xp loads a bit faster,so hope thats fixed the problem. thanks again goatty2
