xp sp2 ?

    It has been some time since I installed SP2 on my PC and I can’t remember if it asks for the license key off the back of the XP disc. My friend seems to have lost his XP disc and was wondering if he can install SP2. I thought I remember it asking for it. Any help would be appreciated.

    SP2 will soon be required. To find your license, use Belarc Advisor. Google it, it is free.

    Sp2 doesn't ask for the reg key. You can get it from windows updates Or you can find it on the web. I have installed probably fourty copies of sp2 and was never ask for the key. ;)

    Thanx I couldn't remember. For some reason I thought I was asked when I did mine.
