I have a fully up to date windows XP, a fully up to date NOD32, and a fully up to date version of Firefox running.

Searching on google for a business, clicked a link, the browser appeared to close, and "XP Smart Security" pops up saying wonderful amount of problems i apparently have.

Research shows that this software is just making up false claims to get me to buy the full worse system. And there are 101 different suggest removal methods. But i would like to know:

    1. shouldn't NOD32 of done something about this?
    2. what is the recommended method of removal?

Currently doing a full scan with NOD32 - but nothing showing.
Also running Windows Mailicious Software Removal Tool - again nothing showing yet. but these scans are in the early stages.

Any advice appreciated and so much for nothing missed in the wild ESET - although to be fair this is likely to be FireFox hole.

MalwareBytes has been taking care of that one for the past year..even recent variants.
