Heads up to multi-booters as Avast "Grime Fighter" may reduce your XP boot.ini to only "Grime fighters" and the one "Windows" it is installed on.

Also uninstalling the complete 336MB Avast Anti-virus did not change my boot.ini to the original one.

Only using the system restore function did this without re-writing the complete boot.ini file.

It also took over my desktop completely with hard to regain access to it.

It took over an hour to do this.

My multi-boot is completely open to each other and not hidden.

    OK.
Timely warning cortez for those of use considering dual booting with XP ending. Thanks. :thumb:

Avira free, to use with appguard, starting to look better all the time.

I promised my wife to get the latest Windows once this machine breaks down. To her amazement unlike our other machines recently replaced (microwave, washer and dryer, refrigerator, car, coffee maker, blender and hair dryer) this old E-machine keeps on kicking.

Since I use SBIE on all partitions it still works for my purposes. Multibooting is my second best hobby after reading.
