XP Loads Slowly

Trying to upgrade to a larger HD (60GB to 160GB). I have tried both using TI8's Disk Clone function and Creating an image and then restoring. The results are the same.

XP Pro is now taking a very long time to load--probably 5 minutes. However, once it finishses loading, it seems to work OK.

Once I installed the new drive and loaded the first time, I would get several Found New Hardware alerts--one for the actual disk drive and a second for a new Volume. The Volume alert would later be followed by Generic Volume. I would then install the software (not microsoft signed for both the hard drive and new volume), reboot and still the very slow loading. For some reason XP is now loading at a snail's pace.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
