    Hi,
I am using True Image 7 and wanted to replace a XP system disk with a bigger.
I attached the bigger drive and cloned the disk.

When I tried to boot from the new disk I can see the Win XP boot screen and later the login background, but then I do get an error message box, that the system was not able to verify the license / Registration. Error code 0x80090006.
(I have German WinXP so the translation might not be exactly what an english version would show)

    How can I fix that?

Do I have to "prepare" the old system somehow to succeed?

Is there a way to "repair" the registration of the "new" system disk?

In three other cases I sofar succeeded, but on this computer it doesn't work o_O

    Thanks for any help,
    Joachim

    Hello Joachim,

I think you could well find an answer in this somewhat lengthy msfn.org Forum thread titled <Cloning an XP Drive>.

    Regards
