    Hi mack6866

Before you begin, please create a permanent folder and move HijackThis off the desktop and into the permanent folder. HijackThis creates backups in the folder it is ran from, and you want to keep them in one place in case you need to restore from them.

Next, with only Hijackthis open, place a check beside the following items.
Make sure you have ALL browsers/windows closed, and click *Fix checked:

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {000006B1-19B5-414A-849F-2A3C64AE6939} - C:\WINDOWS\BI.DLL

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [BELT] C:\WINDOWS\BELT.exe

    O16 - DPF: {6B4788E2-BAE8-11D2-A1B4-00400512739B} (PWMediaSendControl Class) - http://216.249.24.143/code/PWActiveXImgCtl.CAB
    O16 - DPF: {CE74A05D-ED12-473A-97F8-85FB0E2F479F} (dlControl.UserControl1) - http://web1.nugs.net/dev/dlControl.CAB

    O16 - DPF: {56336BCB-3D8A-11D6-A00B-0050DA18DE71} (RdxIE Class) - http://software-dl.real.com/0974970...ip/RdxIE601.cab
    O16 - DPF: {30000273-8230-4DD4-BE4F-6889D1E74167} - http://download.abetterinternet.com...19105/flash.cab

Make sure you have all files and folders viewable: How to Show Hidden Files and Folders

Reboot your computer, preferably into Safe Mode by tapping the F8 key just before windows begins to load.

    Find and delete the following:
    C:\WINDOWS\BELT.exe

Clear out your TIF and other temp files. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Internet Options. Under the General tab click the Delete temporary internet files, and make sure you put a check in the box to delete all Offline content too.

Reboot your computer normally, and post a new log here in this thread to be checked. Please include the top portion of the log in your next post (the portion that indicates your operating system, IE browser, time of scan and HijackThis version. Thank you.)

    Regards,

    Hi mack6866,

Your log looks clean. I am not seeing any R0, R1, R2, R3 - Internet Explorer Start/Search pages URLs in your log. It would be good to include those also since most hijackers will show up there.

Could you open HijackThis and click on the Config.... button near the lower right corner. Take out the check mark in the box beside "Ignore non-standard but safe domains in IE". Then close HijackThis, re-open it again and do another scan, just so we are sure there is nothing there that shouldn't be there.

    Regards,

    snap
