I've used Puppy distros for several years and never had any problems.

I downloaded Xenialpup64 and made it bootable from a thumb-drive. This is on a laptop that is 2009 vintage. It took a few tries but I finally got my WiFi connected by manually entering the network info. It shows connected. Pale Moon is the default browser and when it opens it can not connect to the home page. I disabled the firewall and chose 'no proxy' in the Pale Moon preferences, but it still can not connect to the server. I can not access any other websites either.

    I'd sure appreciate any ideas.

    Got no love ...:(
I understand, it was short on information.

The problem ... no access point association is now solved. Had to do some wpa_supplicant work. Such is Linux. I am currently updating this thread from XenialPup64 7.5 using Pale Moon.

I like this new Puppy. It is snappy and works great on this old clunker.
