    Hi everyone,

Could anyone tell me what is going to happen with the closed beta testers license keys this year? I remember that a year ago, Webroot added 365 days onto those license keys. However, I haven't read anything on the forum saying that the same thing would happen this year.

As I am now getting a warning on my WSA console that my license is soon going to expire, I am wondering what to do.

Should I wait until my license key gets extended automatically, assuming that Webroot has decided to keep using closed beta testers for another year... or will I just have to buy a regular license key that will replace my beta license key?

    Thanks

I think last year was a gift from Joe for what we did to get WSA 2012 launched but only Joe can answer this one.

We should be able to push this through again to renew them for another year - I'll speak with our licensing team :)

Indeed, I very much second your post, Daniel.

Joe, even if Licensing decide not to go for it...thank you so much for the thought...it is a very kind one.

    Regards, and respect :D

It was also a bit my feeling that it would last only one year, but I just wanted to be sure... :)

Like others said before me, this is very kind of you indeed! :thumb: :)
(even if, like Baldrick said, Licensing decide not to go for it!)

Joe you're so kind. I don't have a close beta license as I don't do beta testing anymore. But you're the best.:D:thumb:

FYI - all of the current beta keys should now be bumped up by 365 days.

Thanks again for all of the help as always :thumb:

Mine has just now updated less than a minute ago - now have 384 days left and I have the padlock back on the icon.

Brilliant work Joe and many thanks for an extension I for one didn't expect to happen this year :thumb:

Edit: Joe posted while I was typing - you just can't beat him

Yes, just booted up, and got the license extension immediately :thumb:
Thank you very much Joe (and Webroot), it's a pleasure to use and test your software! :)

I really appreciate it & I will try my best to contribute to the development of WSA (through beta testing).

    i can't say better :thumb:

i wish we could have a "private" zone somewhere where the devs could orient us towards what they expect/want us to test in a newly release beta; so then we can reply with our feedbacks.

i asked long time ago directly to a community leader (as i was told to do so) on webroot official forum, but didn't get any answer.

Thanks so much Joe it's much appreciated I wish more users and members would know you as much as the Original Closed Beta Group does! You are the most Generous and Kind person I ever seen from a Security Vendor from Prevx to Webroot SecureAnywhere and this is the forth year you have given us added time to our Beta Keycodes and I want to thank you personally!

    Cheers Buddy,

My Webroot Online Console as Joe remove it from the GUI. Also if go into the Registry on 64bit systems.

    And for 32bit systems.

It shows as "Subscription" on the opening GUI and again as "Subscription" under the 'Keycode' tab on the 'My Account' page. At least it does on mine ;)

    Hello,

I am not sure where it is in the GUI, but there is an option to hide the keycode onscreen. This was changed a while back so that it also hides the days remaining on your subscription. If you are not seeing the days remaining, it is probably because you have the hide keycode option checked...
