Write/read speed

    Hi,
    is it possible, to get from somwhere read/write-spead information on the used harddisk?

    I think non-Paragon program (something like Disk activity monitor) could help.

    Hi all,
    thank you for your answers. I've forgotten to activate subscription for this thread, so it took till today - sorry.
    You mentioned lots of tools I have to try. My harddisk seem to be rather slow and I want to verify.

    Yes, and HD Tune Pro only does "write" tests on a disc without partitions. From the manual: "To prevent accidental data loss, the write test can only be performed on a disk with no partitions."

    Oh, thank's for that information. I considered to give HD Tune a run, but now ... .
    Meanwhile I've tried the tool - and that is accepting partitions - I have shown above and it is doing what I'm expecting as I just want to compare disks I already have.
