Yesterday I downloaded Webroot Secure Anywhere Essentials (30 day trial) to my old computer (11 years old) running XP and all I have to say is "WOW", It's the first time I've seen it run that fast. Kudos :thumb:

For me personally WSA is the lightest suite I've ever used, barely perceptible;of course for others that might not be the case.During my own malware tests it's blocked pretty much everything so again, for me personally,it's a quality AV.

If you feel it's conflicting with F-Secure, which you also run, I'd suggest contacting Support so that the issue can be narrowed down. Even with a program like F-Secure, WSA should run smoothly; it has been built to co-exist with other anti-malware products.

I agree with my colleges I don't think there is anything lighter out there on it's own and I have no browser slow downs!

I'm with you, my speed seems to slow to a crawl, but only when I use Chrome.

Interesting. I have noticed my surfing has been very slow also. I thought maybe it was my DNS server, so I tried changing that but got no improvement. So after reading this, I disabled WSA, and now things are lightning fast. Something is going on with WSA.

Also, I have been noticing my pings have been slower (45-60 range). I just checked now that WSA is disabled, and they are back to normal (16-17).

i also have been testing and i have a 50down/25up fios connection and i have noticed a slowdown. while its NOT NEARLY as bad as some other products for me browsing with say eset or avast has been much faster and im not sure why.

overall i like it though its a bit pricey for someone like me who need 9-12 systems and i always buy for 2-3 years. this is one of the higher priced products for me if i buy it.

That is what i mean to say that browsing speed slow downs when i installed wsa on new system without any other antivirus/antimalware/firewall on my pc.
It takes nearly 2 second to open 15 large image when there is another internet security on my system but after installing wsa it takes nearly 7 to 8 seconds to open similar images.
Uninstalled WSA and looking forward if they improve browsing speed.

Could anyone experiencing slowdowns write into our support inbox so that we can take a look at fixing the issues?

    Thank you!

I just reported the issue through the beta program submit feedback option.

I cannot replicate the issue at the moment though. Not sure if you guys already found a fix.

same here sometimes the pages will just hang there and it takes minutes to load other times the same page loads near instantly. i have multiple of the SAME EXACT laptops spec for spec with exactly the same software on them just one im testing wsa and another has ess v5 and my normal is avast is and i do not see this behaviour with the other two when viewing THE SAME pages. in other words when i see this response i can then grab another laptop with a different av and try the very same page without the slowness or choppiness. also it seems when it does this to load the page almost in sections in a way is the best way i can describe it

Here is the trouble shooting steps I got from Webroot:

Lets try and test to see if you are having the same issue with Internet Explorer. Also try and disable our Web Threat Shield by following the steps below.

    1. Open Webroot
    2. Go to PC Security
    3. Go to the Shields tab
    4. Click on the green button next to "Web Threat Shield to turn it off

For me the issue has actually not acted up the past two days, so I am having trouble replicating it.
