    restore a clean image and you're done in minutes.
    instead of playing with malwares for hours with this and that program... :cautious:

    there are 'imagers' that also restore/reset your MBR while restoring an image.
    that is preferable of course, as you can be sure nothing has/will slip by.

    Hey not to sound like a complete noob but where does everyone typically back up to? Like a disc or portable HD?

    i back up to a secondary internal HD because it's faster than a USB drive.
    but i copy and paste the backups to a portable drive also.
    usually, people image to a portable drive.

    I used Windows 7 own for a long time and it's very good! :thumb:
    never failed once in over 200 imaging and restore.

    a few months ago i bought IFW and it's been rock solid as well with a few extra options that W7 does not have.

    we have a whole bunch of people here at Wilders in the Backup & Imaging forum that are quite knowledgeable about this stuff.

    always good to drop by there and ask around. :thumb:
