Word "taskpane" doesn't stay

    Hello, I'm using a finnish language XP. the right pane "task pane if my translation is correct" disappers every time I open a word document. I select it to be active but it dpesn't stay ( N.B: office sp3 is applied if this has any thing to do with it). Any help please
