    Hi all

I've put ESET on 3 computers without a hitch and am working on number 4. Install went fine.

When I restarted the NOD logo came and froze. First there was an Error Message "WDDM Service Not Running".

I manually tried to start NOD and got the "Error Communicating with kernel" message. I did try to do the suggested fix on my XP...run-->services.msc but ESET is not on the list at all.

I just this computer back and I really want virus protection on ASAP.

Any ideas on what to do, would be great.

    Thanks

    Jamey

    Jamey K,

Do you have a Western Digital external hard drive? If so, this may be related to a conflict with the "WD Smartware" software/driver. Try uninstalling it and uninstall/reinstall the ESET software.

Also further research reveals that WDDM is related to the Windows Display Driver Model. So you might want to try upgrading your video driver.
