You probably already have 4 partitions if it is a recent oem machine.

That is the maximum allowed per HD with the mbr system.

You can make one of those an "Extended partition " and inside that create logical drives.

Please post a screenshot of Disk Management ( or Paragon ) window, showing the layout of the drive.

Thanks, thats what it is, I already have 4 partitions
    (C:)
    Recovery (C:)
    OS (C:)
Local Disk (E:) which I created, and is when I made this post because it wouldnt let me continue to partition.

Is there any way to create more partitionso_O Even though its an oem machine.

Yes, there are several ways you could do it.

It is important to see a screenshot of Disk Management window to be able to advise the best/easiest approach.

Type the word create in start search box.

Click on "Create and format hard disk partitions".

A window will pop up - take a jpeg screenshot and post it up.

We need to see it clearly, like this:

likewise, paragon partition manager 10, will not allow me to

resize -join partitions on C drive

paragon partition manager 10, error says you can only merge adjacent disks,

    but they are adjacent?

    Only 2 partitions on C

Are both partitions of the same type - are they both Primary partitions?

They need to be the same type for any kind of merge function.

If you post a screenshot of Disk Managemnt , or the Pargon main window showing the partitions - we can advise.

Which PM10 product are you using , free, personal, pro, server?

    Yes, That is the issue.

The blue one is a Primary partition.

The Green one is an Extended partition.

Inside that Extended partition is one logical drive.

If you wanrt to incorporate the 11gb in the Extended partition into the 100gb Primary partition - you need to convert it to a Primary partition first.

Most of the Paragon PM products will do that - just rt click on the Extended partition and select "Make partition Primary", OK then Apply.
