Wireless. Will I need a software firewall?

    If I have a wireless router, will I need a software firewall assuming the security protocols provided by the router (encryption etc.) are enacted?

    There is no specific link between the two (wireless encryption and software firewalls). The WIFI router will come with a PSI firewall that only cover the inbound (unsolicited inbound connections) and you can install a software firewall to control the outbound (unsolicited outbound connections).

    Encryption will protect your internet connection (and LAN) from unauthorized access by other users around you (neighborhood).
