When I use any applications that use WinPcap and I try to configure my networs adapters but it doesn''t give me a choice as there are no adapters being displayed.

    Hi Nookie,

Are you using a program that controls the installs of drivers (like processguard, ssm, prevx,...)?

it could be that you have the wrong Winpcap version. if you have an ADSL PPP conection only the WinPcap 3.1 Beta 4 will work.

it could also mean that you might have a program that doesn't support your adapter/s. maybe check to see you have the latest version of the program/s.

BTW, which programs are you using and which version of Wipcap do you have?

it could also be that one of your malware scanners has flaged it as malware and disabled it.

i suppose you could have alook at your services and see what it says there (rpcapd) Remote Packet Capture Protocol mine is set to manual.

i wish i could help more, but i'm not very experienced on this subject.
