although it is an outdated software?

i found a comparison between Anvir an Winpatrol (both free)
    http://dottech.org/tipsntricks/1082...ns-differences-and-unique-advantages-of-both/

it was commented that both programs are fully powered when not free.
So Anvir (not Free) and Anvir pro (anvir is portable if set to store in INI file)
and winpatrol pro (which is not portable) are different in its final usage at least.
winpatrol offers more options (see the tabs) but anvir offers more realtime
options about whats going now NOW.
(i own a license of the normal anvir version, not pro)

so an update of winpatrol portable (togo) is recommended.

there was a request at John Hallers site http://portableapps.com/node/20646
    but never answered.

btw anvir is going to have a new release next time - be patient. (last was in 2010)

@mrpink - thats not the pro, but the paid one. nevertheless thank you :thumb:

i dont like system explorer - never did since the beginning.
i use process explorer (sysinternals) - then i would use process hacker.
disadvatage of process hacker is its requirement of dotNET.
process explorer runs on any windows without

Brummelchen, why don't you like System Explorer?

I checked how users at http://majorgeeks.com/ scored the process viewers you mention, and all 3 have high ratings, the best by a slim margin being Process Explorer, the one you like. I've used it in the past but it's been a while, I'll load it up again and compare.

i never chose on rates. i wrote "dont like it since beginning"
in direct comparison with process explorer it did not have the features i need.
and with v3 it becomes like chrome (i dont like those stupid tabs like webkit)
sysinternals offers great tools since years and the choice was very small.
process explorer is present here since 10 years or so, why should i change now?
next reason for some month now is that i need process lasso for a few process
running under specific settings (eg 1 core) which windows can not handle.
another taskmanager implemented with lots of options. so even process
explorer became a bit useless here.

Okay, thanks Brummelchen. I'm glad you reminded me of Process Explorer, it's a good program and will stay on my computer.

i think both or all should be part of a toolchest, if possible and portable.
process explorer is not portable, too bad. Process Lasso has a portable.
System Explorer is IMO also portable :thumb:

Process Hacker does not require the .NET Framework.
