I have the same situation as you, lucien phoenix. I just "hide" the icon to "only show modifications" so I can look at it if I want, but it doesn't show constantly in my taskbar. That seems to be the best solution for me for now. It works just fine and doesn't irritate me with it's brilliant yellow color.

I think BillP will address the icon but presently he has lots of other things to deal with - personal illness, etc. He isn't the kind of guy to ignore user's thoughts - let's give him some time and make the best of it for now. It's not really that important to me in the whole scheme of things. :)

I don´t see any problem with the new icon. In fact, I like it better than the old one.

Then it's good for you! I have a blue Desktop and a blue Start Screen. I did not like all the "circus" colored tiles on the Start Screen that Microsoft put on Windows 8.1. Guess it's all a matter of personal preferences.

Isn't WinPatrol Plus suppose to alert a user after a program has been uninstalled?

If so, mine isn't alerting me anymore.

Thanks for checking up on that TyRidian.

I do seem to recall when I started using PLUS in 2011 there was an option in the uninstall alert pane to enable that would suppress the alerts from then on. However it was done, I know I did purposely turn off those alerts. But I'll be darned on how to get 'em back. I found a Options HideUninstall in the Registry with a 0 value but that would imply uninstalls not hidden.

Maybe Bill did do away with it at some point.

Anytime I install WP, it doesn't alert much (like when my hosts file changes) until I tick that compatibility box...I hope you get it figured out

Why? I just received an email from WinPatrol - it was from BillP. Has he taken it over again? At least it's still being maintained, which it good news. It's really been a good app over the years.

Version 32.0.2014.5 has been released for quite sometime.

Strange that I only received a prompt for update today.
