Too pretty. It almost like the wallpaper for a babies room.
This program has done nothing for me but take up space, all my other programs
do what this does, plus doesn't call to mama.

Any GUI would look bad in such low resolution, I don't think anyone will say that it looks nice.

I get your point, but looking at anything blurry such as the icons used here gives me a bad headache.

Am I the only one who like the old GUI better? Aside of the buggy GUI, the old one looks somewhat more professional to me than this new one.

I'm not usually one to care much about GUIs.... but yeah, I like the current one (old one) much better.

The new look is pretty bad, but some people at Wilders have said the software is useful for information about processes.

aside to Seven64, Wilders might not be the best place to put a politically charged quote in your signature, especially if you aren't going to check first to see how reliable your info is: http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/change.asp

Kind of odd that so many are so focused on something so inconsequential.

What the hell are you talking about? No clue what this rambling is about.

Anyway, GUI is important. It's not difficult to code in a nice GUI, about a days coding. I've done it, and it's even quicker if you use libraries.. So why the fuss about it? If I have to wait a day or two longer for a nicer interface - bring it on.

It's hard not to focus on something that stands out so much, in a negative way.

You make my point. It's hard for some not to focus on something that stands out so much in such a negative way. It's easy for others to ignore, or at least not focus on. Put it this way, in the total amount of time I've had WP PLUS on my machines, I don't think I've spent very many hours or minutes being hassled by the GUI.

  15. As far as my memory serves right: all horses of Trjam are vaccinated and signed by a trusted publisher: no need to bark at his hobbyhorses IMO

I can ignore it as easy as the next guy, but if I ever need to open the GUI, I'll dislike what I see. I fail to see why you and others are taking umbrage to comments on how poor the GUI is.

Well, if you can ignore it easily, all right then. Why are we still talking about it? ;)

    Exactly.

    Take your political stupidity elsewhere.

So he screwed up the quote, screwed up the spelling of the name... Seven64 is just a screw up.

This thread is out of control....let's wait and see what WinPatrol comes out with before we continue the griping! Why worry about things that may not occur? The political nonsense is completely out of place in here - no matter which side you are on. GROW UP!

well - i dont care about blurry symbols. but i think that modern small touch panels are as that small that so that winpatrol need such big tiles - whenever it get tiles. on a 1024*768 touch panel the old school tabs are more than usable - they are huge even for big fingers. otherwise increase the touch panel :D (or use pen)

i seems curious for me people having 1024*768 touch panel and when writing in word or similar half of the panel is covered with a virtual keyboard.

nevertheless i open winpatrol one or two times in a month (at least on after update).

btw sometimes it is spiking here, no clue why - but thats another story.

I consider WP as a micro HIPS. Dunno with everybody else, but to me the old GUI fits this purpose perfectly. So that's why I prefer it over this tile-based GUI a la Metro. The tab switching GUI works better and more proper IMO.
